1.0 What is "the geeks place" all about and how did you come up with the title?
1.0 What is "the geeks place" all about and how did you come up with the title?
Isa iyong lugar kung saan nagkasama-sama sina Wren, Macky, Rob, at Roarke. They're all friends and all of them are geeks. I already thought of the term "the geeks place" while writing the first book. Ang balak ko lang ay bigyan ng kakaibang mga pangalan ang bawat departamento ng isang kompanya na bahagi ng istoryang sinusulat ko. Pero ang nangyari nasundan ng nasundan ang unang libro (na hindi ko naman akalaing ma-a-approved) kaya nahingan ako ng title for a series.
I never really expected that I could actually write about those four geeks. When I was writing the third book I never really thought of it as a miniseries. Ayoko kasing ma-pressure. Kaya ang nangyari naramdaman ko lang na miniseries na nga talaga ang ginagawa ko noong mga panahong sinusulat ko na iyong panghuling libro.
Iyong title naman ng bawat libro nakuha ko sa mga "Geektionary" na nakalap ko lang sa internet. Ginamit ko lang ang mga terminong ginagamit daw ng mga geeks. Hindi ko alam kung gaano katotoo ito pero sa tingin ko may sarili ngang mga termino minsan ang mga tulad nilang henyo.
2.0 What made you decide to write a romance story about geeks?
First of all, I don't have anything against hot, gorgeous, and rich men nor do I want to categorize anybody. This just started with the idea, or rather from a typical question of "What if," I asked myself what if I create a very nice hero? Iyong may magandang career pero hindi talaga masasabing mayaman. He could be like the boy-next-door kind of guy but not really because women won't easily go crazy over him. From there, I started to write about Wren.
3.0 Writers usually write about their unfulfilled fantasies. Did you do that in this series?
Hmm... I don't call the stories I wrote as unfulfilled fantasies. It's more on creating a world that is interesting for me to share with anyone who's willing to see a glimpse of it.
4.0 Who's world are we looking into then? The geeks? The girls who fall for them? Gypsy? Who?
Uhm... all of the above.
5.0 Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Meron. Actually, may panawagan ako para sa kanila... here it is... "BUMILI PO SANA KAYO NG "THE GEEKS PLACE," PARANG-AWA NIYO NA!"

2.0 Answers to the Questions
2.1 Do you have a website, forum, or fan site?
None. Nahihilo kasi ko at hindi ko nasusundan ang usapan sa mga forum o fan site. But I’m thankful that my facebook account was added on several pages though I’m not really an active member. Wala rin po akong sariling website dahil mas time consuming iyon at alam kong hindi ko mapapanindigan na i-maintain iyon. But I do have other online accounts aside from facebook. Each online account has different purpose for me so in case anyone’s interested anyone can follow me on tumblr and blogspot.
2.2 Would you accept request from someone who would want to be greeted on your first page?
Uhm, this is quite a tough question because I feel like I need to explain further. But here goes… My plan ever since my first novel was published was to always write a Preface. Sometimes I acknowledge sources, events, people (depende kung pinayagan nila kong ilagay ko ang pangalan nila), or few things that inspired me or even influenced me to write a particular story. But sometimes I just write thoughts I had during the time I was writing it to recall something. I know there’s a lot of people that I should thank for and truth was I don’t think they’ll all fit in that little space on the first page so I just tried my best to thank them through personal messages or in person. I just hope that people could understand why I would not easily grant such request.
2.3 Would you answer questions or inquiries about your personal information?
It depends. But as much as possible I want my private life to remain private.
2.4 Do you have any upcoming books?
I was informed that The Geeks Place was reprinted. Aside from that I was really hoping that “First Dance” and “First Love” would be out this year. Hindi ko alam kung matatandaan pa ‘to ng mga nakabasa ng “First Kiss” pero iyong dalawa na binanggit ko ang karugtong n’on.

3.0 About the Second Batch of The Geeks Place
3.1 What is the Second Batch of The Geeks Place all about?
It's about... nerds. And though "nerds" are similar to "geeks" I think they are still different from one another. The Second Batch of The Geeks Place also has a different title. It's called (or soon to be called as)... The Nerds Area.
3.2 What made you decide to have a new title for the series?
I decided to have new title because it's about a different group. Sa iisang kompanya pa rin naman sila nagtatrabaho pero hindi sila kabilang sa departamento ng mga geeks.
Gaya ng The Geeks Place apat na libro rin ang The Nerds Area. Pero walang sariling dictionary ang The Nerds Area. May kanya-kanyang definition lang ang mga characters ko tungkol sa mga salitang... The One, Prince Charming, Mr. Right, and Hero.
3.3 Who are the characters that the readers would soon get to know?
The characters in The Nerds Area are mentioned in The Geeks Place so some people might be familiar with them. These characters are beautiful nerds at the same time well known writers.
3.4 Why does your series have to be about geeks or nerds?
May mga taong maganda o guwapo but they still suck at the love department. May nerds (o geeks) na okay naman ang love life at kung minsan maging ang social life. So I guess... what I'm trying to say here is that, there's no such thing as having the assurance that if someone's good looking that person will have no problems with his or her love life. And that, if someone is in a relationship that person is happier compared to those who were single. Everyone still needs the right combination of emotions to claim that they were really in love... and to truly say they're happy.
Right now, I find these characters (the geeks and the nerds) interesting. But I hope I won't be always writing about them. I still want to explore other types of character and write different stories about them.
3.5 Do you have anything to say to the possible readers of your series?
Yes, I have. I would like to tell them to... "Please read the very first page of the novel before purchasing these upcoming books. Ayokong manghinayang kayo sa oras at pera ninyo kaya sana mabasa po ninyo iyon bago kayo pumunta sa cashier. Maraming salamat po!"
